Ser ego\u00edsta l&#8217; mesquinho \u00e9 o caminho do mundo para a prosperidade, mas n\u00e3o \u00e9 o caminho de Deus, pois Ele disse: &#8220;A quem d\u00e1 liberalmente, ainda se lhe acrescenta mais e mais; ao que ret\u00e9m mais do que \u00e9 justo, ser-lhe-\u00e1 em pura perda&#8221; (Pv 11.24). Dar l; o caminho da f\u00e9 para o ganhar. Tenho de experimentar isso repetidamente; ent\u00e3o, posso esperar que toda a prosperidade ben\u00e9fica para mim surgir\u00e1 como uma graciosa recompensa de um comportamento caracterizado por liberalidade.<\/p>\n<p>\u00c9 l\u00f3gico que n\u00e3o posso ter certeza de que ficarei rico. Serei pr\u00f3spero, mas n\u00e3o com muita prosperidade. Muitas riquezas podem me tornar um pessoa com a qual ser\u00e1 muito dif\u00edcil lidar; podem causar-me o desregramento do mundanismo e, talvez, trazer-me um triste entorpecimento do cora\u00e7\u00e3o. N\u00e3o, se j\u00e1 tenho o bastante para sentir-me satisfeito, devo ficar contente. E, se o Senhor me conceder abastan\u00e7a, poderei sentir-me ainda mais contente.<\/p>\n<p>Mas existe uma riqueza espiritual que devo almejar ardentemente; ela resulta de pensamentos generosos em rela\u00e7\u00e3o ao meu Deus, \u00e0 sua igreja e aos meus irm\u00e3os.
