O Santo de Israel \u00e9 o estrangeiro. Foi por isso que nosso tempo foi abreviado, quando Deus imergiu o mundo num dil\u00favio, instituiu o banimento em Jeric\u00f3, engoliu Cor\u00e1 e seus co-rebeldes, fulminou Uz\u00e1 quando ele toca a Arca da Alian\u00e7a, consomiu os filhos de Ar\u00e3o por brincarem com a adora\u00e7\u00e3o, e imediatamente deixa seu julgamento cair sobre Ananias e Safira. E n\u00f3s olhamos para essas pessoas que s\u00e3o como n\u00f3s e dizemos: \u201cPobre Ananias! Pobre Safira! Pobre Uz\u00e1! Pobres Nadabe e Abi\u00fa!\u201d Porque se a Santidade de Deus \u00e9 comprometida, se ela \u00e9 profanada, isso n\u00e3o mexe conosco. Mas Deus disse atrav\u00e9s de Mois\u00e9s para Ar\u00e3o: \u201cVoc\u00ea se lembra do que o Senhor disse? Eu serei considerado Santo por qualquer um que se aproxima de mim, e eu serei honrado entre toda a congrega\u00e7\u00e3o.\u201d E se isso significa que meus amigos e minha fam\u00edlia devem ser sacrificados pela justi\u00e7a de Deus, pela manifesta\u00e7\u00e3o de sua santidade, pela gl\u00f3ria de sua justi\u00e7a, embora eu n\u00e3o possa suportar pensar nisso agora, esta Palavra me diz que vir\u00e1 o dia em que eu estarei t\u00e3o preocupado com a gl\u00f3ria de Deus e a gl\u00f3ria de Jesus, que serei capaz de me alegrar em seu julgamento.
