Assim como foi necess\u00e1ria uma Reforma contra os abusos da igreja cat\u00f3lica romana no s\u00e9culo XVI, a igreja hoje clama por uma reforma contra as distor\u00e7\u00f5es dos ensinamentos do verdadeiro evangelho.<\/p>\n
\n\u00a0Este livro de Renato Vargens n\u00e3o \u00e9 apenas uma den\u00fancia do estado em que segmentos da igreja evang\u00e9lica brasileira se encontra. A hist\u00f3ria desta lembra a descri\u00e7\u00e3o oferecida pelo m\u00e1rtir crist\u00e3o Dietrich Bonhoeffer, ao falar do estado da religi\u00e3o que ele encontrou nos Estados Unidos em meados de 1930:Protestantismus ohne Reformation<\/i>, \u201cprotestantismo sem reforma\u201d.<\/p>\n
Tristemente, voc\u00e1bulos importantes da f\u00e9 crist\u00e3, como pecado, arrependimento, ju\u00edzo, justi\u00e7a, cruz, e at\u00e9 mesmo Cristo e ressurrei\u00e7\u00e3o v\u00e3o desaparecendo do discurso de parte dos evang\u00e9licos brasileiros.<\/p>\n
Em algumas faculdades teol\u00f3gicas e mesmo denomina\u00e7\u00f5es h\u00e1 aqueles, associados ao liberalismo teol\u00f3gico, que substitu\u00edram a confian\u00e7a na revela\u00e7\u00e3o pela suposi\u00e7\u00e3o de que se pode encontrar a verdade por meio da racionalidade, como se, do come\u00e7o ao fim, Deus n\u00e3o viesse a n\u00f3s, em revela\u00e7\u00e3o. Entre os novos movimentos religiosos neopentecostais h\u00e1 aqueles que sup\u00f5em poder controlar pelo uso de palavras m\u00e1gicas o Deus vivo, o Senhor dos ex\u00e9rcitos, o todo-poderoso Pai, Filho, Esp\u00edrito Santo. Melancolicamente, estas palavras, definidoras do cristianismo, foram esvaziadas e substitu\u00eddas por todos aqueles associados a estes grupos.<\/p>\n
Todos estes abandonaram o Evangelho, correndo atr\u00e1s de outro tipo de an\u00fancio (Gl 1.6-9), mera pervers\u00e3o ou caricatura, mas n\u00e3o a boa nova da salva\u00e7\u00e3o de que, por meio da morte e ressurrei\u00e7\u00e3o de Cristo, pecadores podem ser justificados pela f\u00e9 somente.<\/p>\n
O que essa obra oferece \u00e9 um chamado ao fundamento da f\u00e9 crist\u00e3, como encontrado nos famosos lemas que resumem o cerne da mensagem b\u00edblica e evang\u00e9lica: Deus fala a todos somente na Escritura (sola Scriptura<\/i>); somos salvos somente\u00a0pela gra\u00e7a imerecida (sola gratia<\/i>), que vem aos pecadores somente por meio da morte de Cristo (solus Christus<\/i>); e este \u00e9 recebido pela f\u00e9 somente (sola fide<\/i>); para que em tudo somente Deus receba o louvor e a gl\u00f3ria (soli Deo gloria<\/i>).<\/p>\n
Precisamos receber e nos agarrar esta mensagem b\u00edblica e evang\u00e9lica com toda a seriedade. E sobre isso far\u00edamos bem em ouvir com temor o reformador Martinho Lutero. Em 1522, ele preparou uma s\u00e9rie de serm\u00f5es de Natal para sua congrega\u00e7\u00e3o, e num deles afirmou:<\/p>\n
O guarda de um bordel p\u00fablico \u00e9 menos pecador que o pregador que n\u00e3o entrega o verdadeiro Evangelho, e o bordel n\u00e3o \u00e9 t\u00e3o ruim assim como a igreja do falso pregador. (…) Isto os surpreende? Lembrem-se de que a doutrina do falso pregador n\u00e3o causa nada mais que dia-a-dia desviar e violar almas rec\u00e9m-nascidas no batismo \u2014 crist\u00e3os jovens, almas tenras, noivas virgens, puras e consagradas a Cristo. Considerando que o mal \u00e9 feito espiritualmente e n\u00e3o fisicamente como num bordel, ningu\u00e9m o observa: mas Deus est\u00e1 incomensuravelmente descontente.<\/i><\/p>\n
Que Deus use esta nova obra de meu querido irm\u00e3o Renato Vargens para quebrantamento, renova\u00e7\u00e3o e retorno a Deus, que \u00e9 rico em miseric\u00f3rdia, n\u00e3o apenas para renovar nossa alegria nele, mas tamb\u00e9m para nos conceder novo alento\u00a0e renovada paix\u00e3o para pregar a Escritura Sagrada, \u201co ber\u00e7o pelo qual o Cristo vem a n\u00f3s\u201d (Lutero).<\/p>\n
