O problema \u00e9 que a raiz de uma palavra nem sempre fornece\u00a0o\u00a0significado no tempo em que foi usada. Por exemplo, entendemos hoje gentileza como cortesia, mas no latim <em>gentilis<\/em> era quem pertencia \u00e0 mesma fam\u00edlia ou cl\u00e3. Ent\u00e3o, apesar de algumas vezes \u00fatil\u00a0devemos\u00a0tomar cuidado com o &#8220;significado oculto da raiz da palavra&#8221;. Veja o que Robert Cara, em artigo bem interessante chamado &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/fiel.in\/1s77dwx\" target=\"_blank\">Cuidado com o Significado Oculto da Raiz de uma Palavra<\/a>&#8220;, escreve sobre ekklesia:<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #191f13;\">No grego, mais do que no portugu\u00eas, muitas palavras s\u00e3o uma combina\u00e7\u00e3o de duas outras palavras, mas geralmente o estudo etimol\u00f3gico do porqu\u00ea e de quando essas palavras foram combinadas \u00e9 completamente desconhecido pelo autor do Novo Testamento. A palavra grega\u00a0<\/span><em style=\"color: #191f13;\">ekklesia<\/em><span style=\"color: #191f13;\">, que \u00e9 geralmente traduzida por \u201cigreja\u201d, \u00e9 uma combina\u00e7\u00e3o das palavras\u00a0<\/span><em style=\"color: #191f13;\">chamar\u00a0<\/em><span style=\"color: #191f13;\">e\u00a0<\/span><em style=\"color: #191f13;\">fora<\/em><span style=\"color: #191f13;\">. Contudo, os dicion\u00e1rios gregos acad\u00eamicos n\u00e3o d\u00e3o a defini\u00e7\u00e3o de \u201cos chamados para fora\u201d para a palavra\u00a0<\/span><em style=\"color: #191f13;\">ekklesia,<\/em><span style=\"color: #191f13;\">\u00a0porque ela n\u00e3o est\u00e1 sendo usada dessa maneira no Novo Testamento. Embora seja teologicamente verdadeiro que crist\u00e3os tenham sido chamados para fora do mundo pecaminoso para ser a igreja, essa verdade n\u00e3o \u00e9 derivada da palavra\u00a0<\/span><em style=\"color: #191f13;\">ekklesia<\/em><span style=\"color: #191f13;\">. Semelhantemente, no ingl\u00eas moderno a palavra\u00a0<\/span><em style=\"color: #191f13;\">butterfly<\/em><span style=\"color: #191f13;\">\u00a0(borboleta) \u00e9 claramente composta das palavras\u00a0<\/span><em style=\"color: #191f13;\">butter\u00a0<\/em><span style=\"color: #191f13;\">(manteiga) e\u00a0<\/span><em style=\"color: #191f13;\">fly\u00a0<\/em><span style=\"color: #191f13;\">(mosca), mas isso n\u00e3o nos ajuda a entender melhor o inseto.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #191f13;\">A Enciclop\u00e9dia Hist\u00f3rico-Teol\u00f3gica da Igreja Crist\u00e3 traz a seguinte defini\u00e7\u00e3o para igreja:<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #191f13;\">&#8220;No NT, &#8220;igreja&#8221;traduz a palavra grega <\/span><em style=\"color: #191f13;\">ekkl\u0113sia<\/em><span style=\"color: #191f13;\">. No grego secular, <\/span><em style=\"color: #191f13;\">ekkl\u0113sia<\/em><span style=\"color: #191f13;\"> designava uma assembl\u00e9ia p\u00fablica, e este significado ainda foi mantido no NT (At 19.32, 39, 41).<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #191f13;\">No AT hebraico a palavra <\/span><em style=\"color: #191f13;\">qahal<\/em><span style=\"color: #191f13;\"> designa a <\/span><em style=\"color: #191f13;\">assembl\u00e9ia do povo de Deus (e.g.<\/em><span style=\"color: #191f13;\"> Dt 10,4; 23.2-3; 31.30; Sl 22.23), e a LXX, a tradu\u00e7\u00e3o grega do AT, traduz esta palavra por\u00a0<em>ekkl\u0113sia\u00a0<\/em>e\u00a0<em>synag\u014dg\u0113<\/em>, igualmente. At\u00e9 mesmo no NT,\u00a0<em>ekkl\u0113sia<\/em> pode significa a assembl\u00e9ia dos israelitas (At 7.38; Hb 2.12); mas, \u00e0 parte destas exce\u00e7\u00f5es, a palavra <em>ekkl\u0113sia<\/em> no NT designa a igreja crist\u00e3, tanto local (<em>e.g.<\/em> Mt 18.17; At 15.41; Rm 16.16; 1 Co 4.17; 7.17; 14.33; Cl 4.15) quanto universal (<em>e.g.<\/em> Mt 16.18; At 20.28; 1 Co 12.28; 15.9; Ef 1.22).<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00c9 interessante notar que algumas das pessoas que enfatizam o &#8220;chamados para fora&#8221; s\u00e3o\u00a0tamb\u00e9m contra a reuni\u00e3o dos crentes em um pr\u00e9dio para cultuar a Deus. Contudo, como o uso do termo\u00a0<em style=\"color: #191f13;\">ekkl\u0113sia <\/em>mostra, a igreja \u00e9 uma assembl\u00e9ia (ou seja, uma reuni\u00e3o) e a igreja em Atos se reunia sim em locais fechados para cultuar a Deus, orar e ouvir a Palavra.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><div class='et-box et-shadow'>\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class='et-box-content'><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Este foi um exemplo r\u00e1pido de erros referentes ao\u00a0<span style=\"color: #191f13;\">significado na raiz da palavra.
