Muito da rotina di\u00e1ria de uma m\u00e3e passa despercebido. Os filhos, especialmente quando s\u00e3o mais jovens, s\u00e3o bastante ingratos e negligenciam muito do que as m\u00e3es fazem, o que pode ser um grande desencorajamento para as m\u00e3es. Esse des\u00e2nimo aumenta na medida em que as m\u00e3es se encontram sobrecarregadas pelas almas de seus filhos e veem pouqu\u00edssimo fruto espiritual a partir de seus esfor\u00e7os.<\/p>\n

Aqui est\u00e1 uma palavra de encorajamento para todas as m\u00e3es crist\u00e3s para que prossigam em suas tarefas di\u00e1rias de servi\u00e7o \u00e0s suas fam\u00edlias; para que permane\u00e7am firmes nas disciplinas espirituais com seus filhos que parecem ter pouco efeito. Essa palavra de encorajamento vem do grande Charles Spurgeon, quando ele reflete sobre o impacto que a sua m\u00e3e dedicada \u00e0 ora\u00e7\u00e3o teve sobre ele enquanto era um menino n\u00e3o-convertido:<\/p>\n

Nas noites de Domingo, enquanto ainda \u00e9ramos crian\u00e7as pequenas, era o costume dela ficar em casa conosco. Ent\u00e3o, sent\u00e1vamo-nos ao redor da mesa, l\u00edamos vers\u00edculo a vers\u00edculo e ela nos explicava as Escrituras… Depois, havia uma ora\u00e7\u00e3o de m\u00e3e, e nunca nos esqueceremos de algumas das palavras daquela ora\u00e7\u00e3o, mesmo quando o nosso cabelo estiver grisalho. Lembro-me, em uma ocasi\u00e3o, de ela orar assim: \u201cAgora, Senhor, se meus filhos continuarem em seus pecados, n\u00e3o ser\u00e1 por ignor\u00e2ncia que eles perecem, e minha alma dar\u00e1 um testemunho r\u00e1pido contra eles no dia do ju\u00edzo, se eles n\u00e3o se apegarem a Cristo\u201d. Aquele pensamento de minha m\u00e3e testemunhar contra mim atingiu a minha consci\u00eancia e comoveu o meu cora\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

M\u00e3es, espero que voc\u00eas sejam regularmente encorajadas e honradas pelos seus maridos e filhos, pois h\u00e1 muito a ser honrado pelo modo como voc\u00eas se sacrificam e cuidam de suas fam\u00edlias. Contudo, voc\u00eas podem n\u00e3o se sentir honradas como queriam. Voc\u00eas podem n\u00e3o estar vendo o fruto espiritual que desejam em seus filhos. Tomem essas palavras poderosas de Spurgeon e prossigam nas tarefas diante de voc\u00eas nesta semana. Orem por seus filhos. Orem com os seus filhos. Orem de tal forma que comuniquem o seu amor incondicional e a sua aceita\u00e7\u00e3o, mas n\u00e3o escondam a preocupa\u00e7\u00e3o pelas almas deles, que voc\u00eas ainda podem sentir se eles est\u00e3o longe de Cristo. Voc\u00eas nunca sabem o quanto as suas palavras de clamor a Deus pela salva\u00e7\u00e3o das suas almas podem impact\u00e1-los nos pr\u00f3ximos anos.<\/p>\n
