Desistimos de uns, mantemos outros, reajustamos alguns. Tal reflex\u00e3o n\u00e3o deveria ser feita somente na virada de ano. Contudo, o marco de um longo per\u00edodo de tempo que fica para tr\u00e1s (afinal, 365 dias \u00e9 bastante tempo), nos estimula a esse exerc\u00edcio. Portanto, encorajo o leitor a uma reflex\u00e3o pessoal: qual tem sido o crit\u00e9rio que voc\u00ea utiliza para se auto avaliar e buscar novas diretrizes?<\/p>\n<p>A Palavra de Deus nos diz em Salmos 90.12: \u201c<em>Ensina-nos a contar os nossos dias, para que alcancemos cora\u00e7\u00e3o s\u00e1bio<\/em>\u201d. Em outras palavras, o que o salmista est\u00e1 dizendo \u00e9 que para agirmos com sabedoria durante a vida, precisamos manter em mente que a morte \u00e9 uma realidade inevit\u00e1vel.<\/p>\n<p>\u00c9 interessante como a presente gera\u00e7\u00e3o evita esse assunto, vivendo como se fossem imortais. Todavia, \u00e9 certo que \u201c<em>a cada dia que passa, estamos mais perto do fim<\/em>\u201d &#8211; apesar de que clich\u00eas s\u00e3o geralmente superficiais, alguns carregam certo grau de sabedoria, e este \u00e9, certamente, um deles. Lembro tamb\u00e9m de ouvir minha av\u00f3 dizendo: \u201c<em>para morrer, basta estar vivo<\/em>\u201d. Isso n\u00e3o significa que devemos viver desesperados a cada instante, mas compreender que nossa vida \u00e9 limitada.<\/p>\n<p>Salmo 90.10 diz: \u201c<em>Os dias da nossa vida sobem a setenta anos ou, em havendo vigor, a oitenta; neste caso, o melhor deles \u00e9 canseira e enfado, porque tudo passa rapidamente, e n\u00f3s voamos\u201d<\/em>. Assim, sabemos que mesmo se n\u00e3o tivermos a vida abreviada pela trag\u00e9dia de uma doen\u00e7a ou de um acidente, dificilmente cada um de n\u00f3s viver\u00e1 por um s\u00e9culo, e, ainda, os que chegam a essa longevidade, t\u00eam de aprender a lidar com cansa\u00e7o e enfado. Passa r\u00e1pido, n\u00f3s voamos! \u201c<em>O homem \u00e9 semelhante a um sopro; os seus dias s\u00e3o como a sombra que passa.<\/em>\u201d \u2013 Salmo 144.4; e \u201c<em>Toda a carne \u00e9 como a erva, e toda a sua gl\u00f3ria como a flor da erva. Secou-se a erva, e caiu a sua flor\u201d- <\/em>I Pedro 1.24.<\/p>\n<p>\u00c9 tolice querer viver a vida toda como se nunca fosse envelhecer e morrer, continuar se portando como um \u00a0adolescente quando n\u00e3o mais o \u00e9, ou como um jovem adulto quando j\u00e1 cruzou a barreira da meia idade. Isso \u00e9 caracter\u00edstica de \u201c<em>homenino\u201d, <\/em>aquele tipo de homem que de maduro s\u00f3 tem os cabelos brancos, mas cujo comportamento denuncia a estupidez. Vale tamb\u00e9m para as mulheres. Quantas \u201c<em>mulherninas\u201d <\/em>vemos por a\u00ed exibindo-se nas redes sociais de balada em balada e afastando com um comportamento f\u00fatil oportunidades de se tornarem virtuosas e s\u00e1bias. Cada idade carrega as responsabilidades pr\u00f3prias de um est\u00e1gio da vida. Evitar essas responsabilidades nada mais \u00e9 que tentar negar a inevitabilidade da morte.<\/p>\n<p>Seja no ano novo, ou em qualquer per\u00edodo do calend\u00e1rio que tivermos de passar por uma autoavalia\u00e7\u00e3o e tomada de decis\u00f5es, o correto \u00e9 dar \u00e0 morte o peso de import\u00e2ncia que ela tem, a fim de remir o tempo e n\u00e3o desperdi\u00e7armos o dom da vida que o Senhor nos concedeu.
