Quando minha fam\u00edlia mudou para Edimburgo tudo mudou, pois come\u00e7amos a fazer uma &#8220;Reabilita\u00e7\u00e3o Infantil&#8221; e isso foi muito bom pra n\u00f3s e ficamos por aqui. Minha vida era feliz e normal quando mudamos pra c\u00e1&#8230; Gostava de ir pra escola, tinha amigos e a fam\u00edlia voltou ao normal. N\u00e3o havia nada de extraordin\u00e1rio, era uma fam\u00edlia normal.<\/p>\n<p>Mas aos doze anos fui diagnosticada com depress\u00e3o e aos treze anos eu estava bebendo demais com os meus amigos&#8230; Era simplesmente algo que faz\u00edamos porque n\u00e3o tinha muita coisa pra fazer, e isso durou at\u00e9 os meus vinte anos. A esta altura eu estava muito infeliz com a vida em geral e odiava este mundo.<\/p>\n<p>Foi ent\u00e3o que comecei a ir na igreja, e no fundo eu ia porque eu queria ver o que fazia aquelas pessoas felizes, porque eles pareciam ter uma vida juntos. Ent\u00e3o decidi frequentar a igreja durante um ano&#8230; Eu ia nos cultos de domingo, fingia que n\u00e3o estava escutando, mas na verdade estava pensando: &#8220;Eles sempre colocam a culpa em Deus quando as coisas d\u00e3o errado&#8221;. E na \u00faltima P\u00e1scoa, Mez estava falando sobre Jesus e o ladr\u00e3o que estava do Seu lado e naquele momento eu percebi que havia um Deus e que eu estava interessada em aprender mais sobre Ele. Essa foi a primeira vez que Deus entrou na minha vida.<\/p>\n<p>Ent\u00e3o, de repente, durante os pr\u00f3ximos dias, muitas perguntas vinham em minha mente: &#8220;E se realmente existir um Deus? E se Jesus realmente veio morrer por mim?&#8221;. Eu estava confusa, n\u00e3o conseguia entender como algu\u00e9m enviaria seu filho para morrer pelas pessoas, ainda mais por pessoas como eu&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>De repente, era como se minha mente estivesse limpa e eu disse: &#8220;Bem, se o \u00fanico caminho para o c\u00e9u \u00e9 atrav\u00e9s de Jesus, ent\u00e3o eu n\u00e3o quero ir para o inferno&#8221;. Fiquei assustada com o fato de que eu poderia ir para o inferno e naquele momento decidi que queria viver minha vida como um crist\u00e3o e seguir a Jesus, que Ele era o meu salvador.<\/p>\n<p>No primeiro culto depois disso, eu estava me sentindo plenamente feliz, pensando: &#8220;Agora sou crist\u00e3 e as coisas v\u00e3o melhorar&#8221;, mas quando eu contei pra minha fam\u00edlia e amigos sobre isso, eles ficaram dizendo: &#8220;Ah, a igreja fez uma lavagem cerebral em voc\u00ea&#8221;. A maioria dos meus amigos n\u00e3o falam mais comigo, eles pensam que eu me acho melhor que eles por estar na igreja, mas n\u00e3o \u00e9 nada disso.<\/p>\n<p>A igreja local foi muito \u00fatil pra mim&#8230; Eu achava que n\u00e3o precisava de uma igreja, mas quando vim pra Niddrie Community Church, vi que, seja um primo, um estranho ou algu\u00e9m de classe m\u00e9dia, eram somente pessoas com as quais voc\u00ea poderia ter uma conversa normal, s\u00e3o dispostas a ajudar e n\u00e3o est\u00e3o querendo sua oferta ou algo do g\u00eanero. Quando me tornei crist\u00e3, eles investiram muito tempo em mim e foram muito pacientes comigo quando eu tinha perguntas sobre tudo, eles se colocavam no meu lugar enquanto eu lutava para entender tudo, eles entendiam e estavam sempre prontos pra explicar sobre as coisas. L\u00e1 existem pessoas que est\u00e3o prontas pra te levantar se voc\u00ea cair e te ensinar a tirar uma li\u00e7\u00e3o disso para que voc\u00ea n\u00e3o caia de novo.<\/p>\n<p>Agora eu sinto que eu ainda tenho muito a aprender e vou continuar aprendendo por um longo tempo, e vou ficar na Niddrie Community Church por mais alguns anos, aprendendo o m\u00e1ximo poss\u00edvel. Tem muitas pessoas sem igreja em Niddrie e nos arredores, e estou certa que \u00e9 aqui que Deus me quer.
