Os crist\u00e3os s\u00e3o realmente os herdeiros das promessas feitas a Davi e aos seus descendentes? Em Salmos 18.50, Davi afirmou: \u201c\u00c9 ele quem d\u00e1 grandes vit\u00f3rias ao seu rei e usa de benignidade para com o seu ungido, com Davi e sua posteridade, para sempre\u201d. Os crist\u00e3os podem, tr\u00eas mil anos depois, ler estas palavras e reconhecer que est\u00e3o inclu\u00eddos na promessa de vit\u00f3ria e de benignidade?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Considere Isa\u00edas 55. Este cap\u00edtulo come\u00e7a com um convite amplo: \u201cAh! Todos v\u00f3s, os que tendes sede, vinde \u00e0s \u00e1guas; e v\u00f3s, os que n\u00e3o tendes dinheiro, vinde, comprai e comei; sim, vinde e comprai, sem dinheiro e sem pre\u00e7o, vinho e leite\u201d (v. 1). Esse convite inclui todos os que vir\u00e3o a Deus famintos, sedentos, arruinados e prontos a satisfazerem-se na gra\u00e7a, em vez de satisfazerem-se no mundo e nas riquezas. Em seguida, no vers\u00edculo 3, falando para o mesmo grupo, Isa\u00edas disse: \u201cInclinai os ouvidos e vinde a mim; ouvi, e a vossa alma viver\u00e1; porque convosco <em>farei uma alian\u00e7a perp\u00e9tua, que consiste nas fi\u00e9is miseric\u00f3rdias prometidas a Davi<\/em>\u201d. Observe: esta alian\u00e7a \u00e9 prometida a <em>todos <\/em>que, famintos e sedentos, v\u00eam a Deus em busca de satisfa\u00e7\u00e3o. Al\u00e9m disso, esta alian\u00e7a inclui as <em>\u201cfi\u00e9is miseric\u00f3rdias<\/em>\u201d <em>de Deus <\/em>\u201c<em>prometidas a Davi<\/em>\u201d.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Por conseguinte, \u00e9 verdade que os santos humildes e famintos s\u00e3o os benefici\u00e1rios das promessas feitas ao rei Davi. Como isso se cumpre tr\u00eas mil anos depois?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Bem, Deus planejou que as promessas feitas a Davi seriam cumpridas por interm\u00e9dio de um \u201cFilho de Davi\u201d, que seria o \u201cUngido\u201d de Deus, ou seja, o Messias (ver Salmos 18.50, citado anteriormente). O trono de Davi seria o trono do universo, e o governo que fluiria desse trono seria eterno \u2014 \u201cPorque um menino nos nasceu, um filho se nos deu; o governo est\u00e1 sobre os seus ombros; e o seu nome ser\u00e1: Maravilhoso Conselheiro, Deus Forte, Pai da Eternidade, Pr\u00edncipe da Paz\u201d (Isa\u00edas 9.6). Esta foi a mensagem que Deus enviou a Davi, por meio do profeta Nat\u00e3: \u201cEu lhe serei por pai, e ele me ser\u00e1 por filho; a minha miseric\u00f3rdia n\u00e3o apartarei dele&#8230; Mas o confirmarei na minha casa e no meu reino para sempre, e o seu trono ser\u00e1 estabelecido para sempre\u201d (1 Cr\u00f4nicas 17.13-14).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">O Novo Testamento proclama que Jesus \u00e9 este Messias, este \u201cFilho de Davi\u201d. \u201cEu, Jesus&#8230; Eu sou a Raiz e a Gera\u00e7\u00e3o de Davi, a brilhante Estrela da manh\u00e3\u201d (Apocalipse 22.16). Este era o \u00e2mago da prega\u00e7\u00e3o dos ap\u00f3stolos: \u201cSaulo, por\u00e9m, mais e mais se fortalecia e confundia os judeus que moravam em Damasco, demonstrando <em>que Jesus \u00e9 o Cristo<\/em>\u201d (Atos 9.22).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">E como n\u00f3s, crentes, nos relacionamos com este \u201cFilho de Davi\u201d, este rei final, em quem agora descansa o governo eterno deste mundo? Em uma senten\u00e7a rara, Hebreus 2.13 cita o Messias como que proferindo esta mensagem ao seu povo: \u201cEis aqui estou eu e os <em>filhos <\/em>que Deus me deu\u201d. Em outras palavras, os seguidores de Jesus, o Messias, o \u201cFilho de Davi\u201d, o rei eterno, s\u00e3o os seus <em>filhos<\/em>, seus descendentes. Isto \u00e9 semelhante a G\u00e1latas 3.7, onde Paulo disse: \u201cSabei, pois, que os da f\u00e9 \u00e9 que s\u00e3o filhos de Abra\u00e3o\u201d. Ou seja, a f\u00e9 nos une a Cristo, o descendente de Abra\u00e3o (G\u00e1latas 3.16). E, por meio dessa uni\u00e3o, nos tornamos filhos de Abra\u00e3o e benefici\u00e1rios das promessas que Deus lhe fez. De modo semelhante, a f\u00e9 nos une ao \u201cFilho de Davi\u201d, de modo que nos tornamos filhos de Davi e benefici\u00e1rios de suas promessas.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Isto significa que Salmos 18.50 se aplica, de fato, a n\u00f3s. \u201c\u00c9 ele quem d\u00e1 grandes vit\u00f3rias ao seu rei e usa de benignidade para com o seu ungido, com Davi e sua <em>posteridade, <\/em>para sempre\u201d (Salmos 18.50). Em Cristo, somos a posteridade de Davi. As grandes vit\u00f3rias s\u00e3o nossas. A benignidade \u00e9 nossa. As \u201cfi\u00e9is miseric\u00f3rdias prometidas a Davi\u201d (Isa\u00edas 55.3) s\u00e3o nossas.
