Quatro super-her\u00f3is se unem na \u201cIniciativa Vingadores\u201d \u2014 Thor, o Incr\u00edvel Hulk, Capit\u00e3o Am\u00e9rica e o Homem de Ferro \u2014 uma colabora\u00e7\u00e3o entre os maiores poderes do mundo, chamados juntos quando o mal c\u00f3smico amea\u00e7a o planeta.<\/p>\n

Este \u00e9 o enredo por tr\u00e1s de Os Vingadores<\/em> (2012), um filme que uniu estes super-her\u00f3is por um s\u00f3 compromisso. E o p\u00fablico respondeu. Em seus primeiros tr\u00eas dias nos cinemas americanos, o filme arrecadou a bilheteria esmagadora de recordes de US$ 200.300.000.<\/p>\n

N\u00f3s somos atra\u00eddos a essa equipe de super-her\u00f3is porque eles s\u00e3o um time de resposta chamado para refrear o mal. Mas, quando sa\u00edmos do cinema, estamos frente a frente com quest\u00f5es. Porque n\u00e3o vemos Deus destruindo o mal com a espada, o martelo e os punhos? Onde est\u00e1 Deus quando sentimos dor? Onde est\u00e1 Deus quando os indefesos s\u00e3o abusados? Onde est\u00e1 Deus quando ditadores perversos s\u00e3o seguidos? Onde est\u00e1 Deus quando \u00f3rf\u00e3os s\u00e3o comercializados? Por que Deus n\u00e3o invade a hist\u00f3ria e remove as for\u00e7as sombrias?<\/p>\n

N\u00f3s ansiamos para que Deus entre neste mundo, agarre os ditadores egoc\u00eantricos e orgulhosos, os falsos messias e os abusadores. N\u00f3s queremos que Deus pegue o mal pelos p\u00e9s, como o Hulk com o autoproclamado salvador Loki, e o sacuda violentamente contra o concreto como uma boneca de pano. Loki \u00e9 um deus franzino nas m\u00e3os de um Hulk v\u00edvido.<\/p>\n

Vingar<\/h2>\n

\u201cVingan\u00e7a\u201d \u00e9 um substantivo, \u201cvingar\u201d \u00e9 um verbo, e os Vingadores s\u00e3o especialmente ativos em sua defesa contra o mal. Eles s\u00e3o os mocinhos, mas eles s\u00e3o aqueles que nos lembram de que um ato de viol\u00eancia \u00e9 correto \u2014 \u00e0s vezes. Mas quando, e por quem?<\/p>\n

Quando necess\u00e1rio, o governo pode desembainhar a espada e vingar, como um servo do Vingador (Romanos 13.4). Mas isso nunca \u00e9 verdade com rela\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e0 Igreja.<\/p>\n

Amados, n\u00e3o vos vingueis a v\u00f3s mesmos, mas da\u00ed lugar \u00e0 Ira de Deus, pois est\u00e1 escrito: \u201cMinha \u00e9 a vingan\u00e7a, eu \u00e9 que retribuirei, diz o Senhor\u201d (Romanos 12.19).<\/p>\n

Ao inv\u00e9s de vingan\u00e7a, os crist\u00e3os s\u00e3o chamados a oferecer os dois lados da face, perdoar setenta-vezes-sete vezes, n\u00e3o retribuir mal com mal, n\u00e3o se vingar contra nada. N\u00f3s somos livres para viver com gentileza tolerante, porque, como Paulo menciona, Deus \u00e9 o Vingador.<\/p>\n

Deus \u00e9 aquele que retribui cada ato maligno de pecado e rebeli\u00e3o com sua vingan\u00e7a justa. Para aqueles que se humilharam a si mesmos diante da cruz, a ira do Vingador por nossos pecados \u2014 passados, presentes e futuros \u2014 caiu sobre Cristo. Para os n\u00e3o arrependidos e para aqueles que vivem em cont\u00ednua rebeli\u00e3o contra Deus, o fogo eterno do inferno revelar\u00e1 a ira do Vingador.<\/p>\n

O Vingador<\/h2>\n

Em ambos os casos, na cruz ou no julgamento eterno, a vingan\u00e7a de Deus \u00e9 revelada contra cada ato de rebeli\u00e3o, cada ato de pecado. No fim das contas, sua vingan\u00e7a \u00e9 uma revela\u00e7\u00e3o de si mesmo.<\/p>\n

\u201cExiste apenas um Deus\u201d, disse o Capit\u00e3o Am\u00e9rica.<\/p>\n

\u201cDeus \u00e9 o \u00fanico Vingador\u201d, escreveu Martinho Lutero.<\/p>\n

\u201c\u00d3 SENHOR, Deus das vingan\u00e7as, \u00f3 Deus das vingan\u00e7as, resplandece!\u201d, cantou o salmista (Salmo 94.1).<\/p>\n

Essa n\u00e3o \u00e9 a retalia\u00e7\u00e3o furiosa ao estilo Hulk. A vingan\u00e7a resplandecente de Deus \u00e9 sua resposta equilibrada e justa contra o pecado. \u00c9 sua santa lucidez. \u00c9 uma revela\u00e7\u00e3o de si mesmo, a qual os crist\u00e3os s\u00e3o chamados a adorar.<\/p>\n

E enquanto os Vingadores s\u00e3o chamados a refrear<\/em> as for\u00e7as do mal, eles s\u00e3o um fraco eco d’Aquele que j\u00e1 abateu<\/em>, abate<\/em> e abater\u00e1<\/em> o mal de uma vez por todas.<\/p>\n

A vingan\u00e7a de Deus nos lembra de que nenhum de n\u00f3s escapa do poder do pecado e de suas justas consequ\u00eancias. N\u00f3s gostar\u00edamos de mudar o foco para ditadores gal\u00e1cticos malignos, mas n\u00e3o podemos escapar da realidade de que todos n\u00f3s somos culpados da rebeli\u00e3o que ignora a Cristo<\/em>. E Deus \u00e9 o Vingador de toda rebeli\u00e3o, especialmente de nosso motim egoc\u00eantrico que menospreza seu agrad\u00e1vel Filho. O Vingador ir\u00e1 \u201cinfligir vingan\u00e7a contra os que n\u00e3o conhecem a Deus e contra os que n\u00e3o obedecem ao evangelho de nosso Senhor Jesus\u201d (2Tessalonicenses 1.8).<\/p>\n

Este julgamento est\u00e1 chegando. Em breve. Pela f\u00e9 n\u00f3s vemos a justa vingan\u00e7a vindoura de Deus e corremos para o Sangue de Cristo, para achar em Cristo o lugar onde a santa ira de Deus foi derramada e satisfeita de modo que nossa alegria fosse plena e completa para sempre.<\/p>\n
